2 yard skip (mini skip)
Often hired for small loads of household and garden waste. This skip can hold between 20-30 bin bags of waste and is ideal for hiring when space for a skip is at a premium.
  4 yard (midi skips)
Often hired for standard kitchen refits, bathroom refits and small/medium loads of household and garden waste. This size skip is also used for inert waste such as soil, sand, concrete and rubble and can hold between 30-40 bin bags .
  6 yard skips (maxi skips)
Often hired for bulky waste such as concrete, soil and other builders waste as well as medium loads of general household waste. This is one of the most commonly used skips and can hold between 40-60 bin bags of waste.
  8 yard skip
Often hired for bulky inert waste such as soil, concrete and other builders waste. Can also be used for larger loads of general household waste and house clearances. This skip is the largest to hire for heavy inert waste and can hold between 60-80 bin bags of waste.
  10 yard skip
Often hired for large household clearances, large garden waste, green waste (not soil) and large loads of light builders waste such as plastics, wood and metal. This skip can hold between 70-90 bin bags of waste but is unsuitable for inert waste disposal ( concrete, sand etc) as a skip lorry may struggle to lift it.
  12 yard skip
Often hired for large house clearances, large garden waste, green waste ( not soil) and large loads of light builders waste such as wood, plastic and metal. This skip can hold between 80-100 bin bags of waste but is unsuitable for inert waste disposal (concrete, sand etc) as a lorry may struggle to lift it.
  14 yard skip
Often hired for large bulky wastes such as very large house clearances, and large amounts of light construction waste such as wood, metals and plastic. This skip can hold between 100-120 bin bags of waste and is unsuitable for inert waste disposal (concrete, sand etc) as a lorry may struggle to lift it.
  16 yard skip
Often hired for large bulky wastes such as very large house clearances and large amounts of light construction waste such as wood , metals and plastic. This skip can hold between 120-140 bin bags of waste and is unsuitable for inert waste disposal (concrete, sand etc) as a lorry may struggle to lift it.
